About Mount Snow

For a seamless and enjoyable Vermont ski getaway perfect for freestyle skiers and snowboarders alike, Mount Snow deserves your consideration. Located in the Green Mountain National Forest—less than 30 miles from I-91—Mount Snow is Vermont’s closest major resort to the Northeast’s metropolitan hubs. This huge resort encompasses five separate mountains serviced by 20 lifts. Since joining Vail Resorts in September 2019, Mount Snow has become part of the Epic Pass family, adding even more value to your ski adventures.

Carinthia Parks at Mount Snow, introduced in the 2008-2009 season, boasts ten terrain parks with both natural and man-made features, including a superpipe. Known for hosting the first Extreme Games in 1995 and the X Games in 2000 and 2001, Carinthia remains a hotspot for events like the Freeski Open and Carinthia Classic. In summer 2011, Mount Snow unveiled the Leitner-Poma high-speed six-pack bubble chairlift, whisking skiers to the summit in just seven minutes. This lift offers protection from wind and snow, ensuring a warm ride up.

As of 2022, Mount Snow features two high-speed detachable lifts to the 3,600-foot summit and six high-speed detachable chairlifts overall. With lifts servicing the Carinthia Base Area, Sunbrook base area, and the Main Base Area, Mount Snow ensures quick and comfortable access to its diverse slopes. A Mount Snow ski vacation is more than just skiing and riding. At this Vermont ski resort you can also treat yourself to snowmobiling, dog sledding, cross country skiing, shopping, spa services, fine dining and more.
