Day 1: Explore the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and Village shopping
The drive to Whistler via Sea-to-Sky highway only takes about two hours, but many vacationers choose to take the more scenic route, the Sea-to-Sky Climb on the Rock Mountaineer train, which is a relaxing way to start your Whistler ski vacation. Once you’ve arrived in Whistler, get acquainted with your hotel’s amenities and services.
Get the lay of the land and walk around the Whistler Blackcomb base villages. You can check out the many designer shops while you scope out the restaurants and lounges you’d like to visit during your stay in Whistler. Day 2: Discover Whistler’s world-class groomers and end the day at the Scandinave Spa
Start your first ski day out on Whistler’s renowned groomers. Whistler’s impressive fleet of state-of-the-art snowcats do an impeccable job of maintaining the 8,171-acre resort. The wide-open trails provide you with plenty of room to carve up that perfect corduroy. If you’ve never skied at Whistler Blackcomb, great places to scope out the two mountain’s massive terrain offerings—and take in some spectacular views—are at the Top of the World routes, which include the top of the 7th Heaven Express on Blackcomb Mountain and the top of Symphony, Harmony and Whistler Peak on Whistler Mountain.
Day 3: Experience Whistler’s pristine powder and celebrate a great ski day at Bearfoot Bistro’s Belevedere Ice Room
Whether Whistler is in the midst of a snow storm or the resort hasn’t seen fresh snow in a couple days, there’s always plenty of soft snow to be found within Whistler Blackcomb’s 8,171-acre boundary. Some of the best powder can be found in the perfectly spaced trees, located around the mid-way points on the resort. Favorites include the trees around Chunky’s Choice and Seppo’s on Whistler Mountain and Arthur’s Choice, Staircase and The Bite, Upper Gear Jammer and Expressway to Where’s Joe on Blackcomb Mountain.
Celebrate your powder day with some chilled Belevedere vodka in Bearfoot Bistro’s Ice Room. Here, you can sample 50 vodkas from around the globe, some of which are distilled from rye, wheat, soya and even hemp seeds.
