More news is coming out of the ski world concerning operations for the upcoming season and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is getting creative in order to maintain the same quality experience their guests have come to know and love. Limiting capacity, adding new hike-to terrain and halting pass sales for a limited period of time are all part of this innovative plan to open and we are excited to see how proactive JHMR has been concerning their plans for the 20-21 ski season.

As the resort implements a reservation system, mountain officials have made the difficult decision to hit the pause button on all public pass sales to make sure the mountain experience is on par for those who have already purchased a season pass or those out of town guests who have already booked their vacation in the Tetons for the upcoming season.
Skiers and riders who have already purchased a season pass product, such as a Rendezvous Peak, Grand, 7-Day or 10-Day Season Pass will get unlimited access to the mountain, no reservations required. Public pass products are currently slated to go back on sale on October 5th., at which point individuals will be able to purchase single day or afternoon tickets. Those tickets will be discounted depending on the amount of time they are purchased in advance. The 7-day and 10-day lift ticket options will no longer be available for the 20-21 ski season. In addition to those changes to day and season pass sales, Jackson Hole also revealed plans to reduce restaurant capacities, arrange lift lines with social distancing in mind, and limit numbers in the world-famous Jackson Hole Aerial Tramway. But one of the more eyebrow raising items from their announcement is the implementation of a boot pack from the top of Sublette Chair to the top of the Rendezvous Bowl for those looking to earn a lap down the bowl or reach the upper backcountry gates. Time to start busting out those squats and lunges!
