Renowned for spectacular scenery, a storied skiing history and après-ski, St. Anton am Arlberg is located in the Tryolean Alps of Austria. Expert skiers have the lion’s share of terrain to enjoy, but there’s plenty on tap for all levels, including non skiers. The St. Anton skiing offers visitors scenic views over 9,000 feet (specifically at Galzig and Valluga peaks), a vertical drop of 5,000 feet and runs up to five miles long. Beginners and intermediates will enjoy the open snow fields accessed by the Rendlbahn gondola as well as the meandering trails among the Kapall and Galzig complexes. The charming pedestrian village is brimming with great shopping and lively bars and restaurants. A visit to St. Anton is not complete without experience the area’s famous après-ski scene, complete with DJ music and ample Austrian beer. Be prepared to wear your ski boots late into the evening.

After an incredibly scenic four-hour drive from Stop 2 in the Italian Dolomites to the Tyrolean Alps, Ski.com’s Epic Dream Job hire, Jackson Lebsack found himself at Stop 3: St. Anton am Arlberg, Austria.  To say the least, he experienced the resort at its best: bedecked in white. In fact, so much snow fell during his stay that roads closed, causing him to stay an extra day and ski the pow.
