Ski.com’s Epic Dream Job – Whistler Blackcomb, B.C.

Photos + video by Jackson Lebsack

The Whistler Blackcomb ski resort is truly in a league of its own. Its terrain, the most expansive in North America, includes 100-plus trails spread out across 8,171 acres. The longest trail lasts an incredible seven miles and descends more than 5,000 vertical feet. Whistler’s sheer size and terrain variety make it attractive to big mountain skiers, but nearly 20 percent of the mountain is rated for beginners. If exceptional views and high-alpine bowl skiing sound appealing, then there’s no better place for skiers of all stripes than Whistler Blackcomb.

More than anyone, we know that skiing and riding is a major factor to a ski vacation, but we also know that off-mountain culture is the critical piece that makes the whole ski-vacation experience unique. With three base villages brimming with post-skiing diversions, Whistler Blackcomb has long been reputed as having some of Ski Country’s best après-ski options.

Jackson Lebsack, Ski.com’s Epic Dream Job hire, just spent a few days sample the goods in Whistler.
