In North America, it’s rare to find “on mountain lodging” they have in places like say, the Swiss Alps. However in Banff’s Sunshine Village, they do things quite differently.
The only ski-in ski-out accommodation in Banff National Park, Sunshine Mountain Lodge is located 7,200 feet above sea level and guests must ride the entire length of the Sunshine Village gondola before getting cozy in the high alpine of the Canadian Rockies. This 4-star hotel is nothing if not extraordinary and features unbeatable hot tub views, early-morning access for those first chair obsessed powder hounds, and starry nights that would make Van Gogh consider revisiting his masterpiece.
For families, the Sunshine Mountain Lodge features an in-house arcade, sledding, and the occasional bonfire by which to roast marshmallows. If you need to get online, high-speed WIFI is offered throughout space.
