As we come to the close of the 20-21 ski season, Vail is taking a second to appreciate the continued support of their guests. At the beginning of the season, many wondered what skiing during a pandemic would look like and to be frank, whether we’d get to ski at all or perhaps worse: if the season would be abruptly canceled. But with the safety of their guests as the top priority, Vail and Epic Pass holders successfully adapted to new systems including reservations, mask mandates, and social distancing.

It’s been a long road but we’ve gotten through it and as a bonus for doing such a great job, Vail is rewarding its skiers and riders by extending the closing dates at three of their premier ski resorts in Colorado. Keystone and Beaver Creek will now close on Sunday, April 11, while Vail goes one week further, closing on April 18. The extension is due in large part to an abundantly snowy month of February that brought upwards of 6 feet of snow to the high mountains of Colorado’s I-70 Corridor.
Let it snow!
