Winter Storm Gail over-delivered. What originally was billed as a significant winter storm system quickly elevated into a record-setter for parts of Southern Vermont, where ski areas like Mount Snow and Killington all received over a foot of fresh while Okemo won out big time with over 30 inches on its summit. Further north, most resorts saw snow but mostly in the 1-3″ range.
Check out this impressive snowfall that took place in/around Binghamton, New York where over 40 inches of snow fell and at points during the storm it was snowing 4-6 inches AN HOUR! #NYwx pic.twitter.com/YHyMDkxpnZ

#WinterStormGail just dumped over 30" on the upper mountain @OkemoMountain . That's gotta be close to a record for 24-hour snowfall. Can anyone out there confirm?
ALERT: Much of the upper mountain at Okemo remains closed as ski patrol works to get lifts cleared and running. pic.twitter.com/KkzwEo0WzT
