About Revelstoke

If you haven’t yet heard of Revelstoke—or “Revy” as the locals affectionately call it—you’re about to. Once a cat-skiing and heli-skiing zone, this British Columbia gem now draws powder hounds from all over, thanks to its jaw-dropping snowfall of 480 to 720 inches annually. With the most vertical in North America at 5,620 feet, Revelstoke is legendary for its steep descents, legendary glades and expansive alpine bowls.

Thanks to its close proximity to the resort and downtown Revelstoke, it’s also among the world’s most convenient and affordable places to base your cat-skiing or heli-skiing trip out of. Heli-skiing in Revelstoke provides virtually unlimited terrain and is a bucket list item for any skier and rider.

Revelstoke’s more than 3,000 acres of skiable terrain is accessed by a modern lift system consisting of an eight-person, high-speed gondola, high-speed quad chairs and magic carpet conveyor lifts. At the base, the Resort Village offers everything you need, from full-service restaurants and retail shops to rental services and lift tickets.

Skiing in Revelstoke

Revelstoke is home to the most vertical in North America, featuring high alpine bowls, glades and groomers.  With endless acres of skiable terrain, powder refills and steep descents, this mountain is a playground for those who crave adventure. While beginners might find fewer options, there’s still plenty of varied terrain, including wide bowls, perfectly spaced glades and groomers—plus a top-notch ski school to help you master the mountain.

Beginner Skiing in Revelstoke, Canada

With about seven percent of the terrain designated as beginner, there aren’t many options for novice skiers. However there are two ideal learning zones, one at the Turtle Creek base area, and the other mid-way station off the gondola. More experienced beginners do have a few long green runs to choose from, but Revelstoke has North America’s longest vertical skiing, so beginners can easily tire.
