How to get to Andermatt Sedrun

Getting to Andermatt Sedrun is straightforward and simple, with the closest airport being Zurich Airport (ZRH) The airport does account for car rental services and direct train connections to Andermatt via Lucerne. Depending on traffic and weather, you can expect a commute of about an hour and 30 minutes. Other airport options include Milan Malpensa Airport "Silvio Berlusconi" (MXP) and Bern Airport (BRN), at a distance of 123 and 85 miles respectively, from Andermatt Sedrun. Options like the "Alpine Transfer Shuttle," which costs approximately 50 to 100 CHF ($59 to $118 USD) per person, depending on the route and airport. This service provides convenient door-to-door transportation from Zurich or Milan airports to the resort.

Getting around

Travelers heading to Andermatt have multiple easy options. From the north, catch the Gotthard Panorama Express or a train via Göschenen, then hop on the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway, which winds through the stunning Schöllenen Gorge. The beauty of the resort is that with a lift ticket, railway travel between all three areas is included, so it’s easy to go back and forth exploring as much terrain as possible on the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. Additionally, Engelberg-Titlis, another renowned resort with a reliable, relaxed vibe, is just over an hour's drive from Andermatt making it an easy destination to tack on to your Switzerland ski vacation.
