Whistler, home to the 2010 Winter Olympics, has won numerous accolades such as “Top Resort Worldwide” and “Best Après Scene” from travel giants like Condé Nast Traveler and Ski Magazine. With endless runs, bowls and lifts, Whistler is the perfect spot for adventure seekers.

Here’s how to spend three perfect days in this charming, Hallmark movie-worthy mountain town:

Postcard worthy Whistler Village.

Day 1:

Rise and shine! Start your day waking up in The Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed, which is just as heavenly as it sounds, feeling as if you’re floating on a cloud. After a cozy morning sipping a hot cup of coffee by the fireplace and watching the snowflakes fall outside your window, it’s time to layer up and prepare for a day on the slopes.

The Westin’s ski valet will prepare your gear so you can head down the elevator to Grill & Vine, arguably the best breakfast in Whistler Village. You can hear the sizzle of the griddle and the sweet smell of warm Canadian maple syrup as you approach the restaurant, ready for the hot buffet breakfast to fuel up for the adventures ahead. Grill & Vine is renowned for its fresh and locally sourced ingredients, offering an authentic taste of Canada’s Pacific Northwest. Whether you’re craving soft bagels and lox, a warm blueberry pancake stack or are traveling with a family and need more options for the little shredders, Grill & Vine will leave the whole family begging to come back every morning.

Once you’re fueled up, it’s time to hit the slopes. Stepping out of The Westin, you’re greeted by a winter wonderland. The hotel’s prime location, just steps from the slopes and ski school, offers breathtaking mountain views and easy access to the gondola. Today is all about perfecting your technique. For the beginners in the group, head to your lesson with friendly instructors ready to show you the best of the mountain while perfecting your skiing and riding. The more experienced skiers/riders in the groups can enjoy a day of all-mountain guiding and coaching from Extremely Canadian. Your knowledgeable guides will lead you to Whistler Blackcomb’s secret stashes and prime powder, tailored to your skill level and with lift line priority.  .

Smiling ear to ear from all of the progress you made on the hill, why not celebrate? Head back to The Westin for the perfect Après spot. The FireRock Lounge is perfect to relax and unwind after a day on the mountain. Order a fancy cocktail and some tapas before cozying up by the fireplace to prepare for day two of mountain adventures.

Day 2:

If you wake up feeling sore in muscles you didn’t even know you had from a big day on the mountain, don’t worry, it’s completely normal. The Westin has you covered with their Recovery and Recharge Kit. Head to the front desk to choose from options like a Hypervolt Go 2, Hypersphere Go or Normatec Go. These top-of-the-line tools use vibration, air compression and massage to ease muscle soreness and tension so you can return to your vacation feeling refreshed and recharged.

Once you’re ready to start the day, grab a quick Starbucks and breakfast sandwich from The Westin’s Grab & Go before heading out for a half-day of skiing. If you need more instruction, another lesson will have you navigating the mountain confidently. Or, head out on your own to the Whistler Village Gondola, just a two-minute walk from the hotel. Beginners will love the family-friendly zone with its wide, gentle slopes, perfect for building confidence. Intermediates can enjoy breathtaking views on the renowned PEAK 2 PEAK gondola, which connects the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. After taking in the sights, glide down long blue cruisers like Jersey Cream or Ross’ Gold. For thrill-seekers, the high-elevation terrain at Glacier and Whistler Bowl delivers steep, deep runs guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping.

Save some energy for an afternoon stroll through Whistler Village. The charming village at the base of the mountains is ideal for people-watching, souvenir shopping and sampling local restaurants. Grab lunch at Garibaldi Lift Co., known for its bar food, creative cocktails and lively après scene. This is an ideal spot to watch skiers and enjoy stunning resort views. On sunny, bluebird days, the patio is perfect for starting the post-slopes party and enjoying some skier-watching. Be sure to grab a table at this popular spot before the crowds arrive!

Once recharged, stop by Whistler Olympic Plaza, a great community space with a park and playground for families. History buffs will enjoy the Whistler Museum, where you can dive into the town’s rich history and mountain culture. Art lovers can explore the galleries, and those in search of a keepsake will find plenty of charming shops to commemorate their trip.

For dinner, indulge in a traditional mountain meal—fondue—at La Brasserie, known as “La Brass” by the locals. Pair it with The Captain’s Cider, a warm spiced rum and cider drink, perfect for a cozy mountain evening. End the day with a relaxing soak in the outdoor heated pool and hot tub as you swap stories with your travel buddies.

Take a ride on the scenic PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, connecting Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.

Day 3:

We saved the best for last. What better way to wrap up your trip than dedicating your final day to total rest and rejuvenation? Return home feeling recharged, without the need for a vacation… after your vacation. Since you’re taking a break from the slopes, you might still be craving some light movement. Through the Marriott Bonvoy App,  request a Sculpt & Flow Kit, which includes Bala Bangles, bands, balance blocks and a Westin yoga mat—perfect for a quick workout in your room, outside with scenic slopeside views or in the spacious fitness center. The best part? You get to choose the most comfortable spot for your workout.

Take a short walk to a local favorite, the Purebread Bakery & Coffee, for a hot, freshly baked pastry and a coffee. If you want a true Canadian experience, there’s a nearby Tim Horton’s where you can try a “Wayne Gretzky”—don’t ask, just try it yourself!

Afterward, head back to the hotel and indulge in a wellness experience at The Spa at Whistler. Treat yourself to a Deep Tissue Massage, a facial, or a nail service—whatever helps you unwind. Continue your relaxation at the heated indoor and outdoor pools, which are especially beautiful with the snow falling around you. Check out the eucalyptus steam shower, specifically designed for deep relaxation and soothing muscle relief.

Enjoying the spa after a day on the slopes.

Cap off your day with a final celebratory dinner at Grill & Vine, where foodies rave about the AAA Canadian Beef Tenderloin or the Wild Mushroom Ravioli for a lighter option. Pair your meal with a glass of local wine to toast to a perfect Whistler getaway.
